I have a t-Mobile Family Plan and my kids originally had Razrs. Unfortunately, it seems teenagers adn Razrs are not a good mix as I gone through a bunch of them. Between the phone itself being fragile or the kids leaving them in pockets for the laundry we've gone through several of them. We have an old Nokia 6010 t-mobile prepaid that we got a while ago that I can stick the kid's SIM card in and have it work but the kid's don't want to carry it as it is "too ugly".

So, is there a fairly cheap phone I can get that I can use with t-mobile? I see a lot of prepaid phones out there for $5.95-$9.95 like net 10 and att. Can I use these with t-mobile? Do I need to unlock these? Is there a t-mobile prepaid phone that I can use on my family plan? Preferably, the kids want a flip phone and I would prefer a sturdier one than the Razr. A big plus would be if it used the same data cable and chargers as the razr. Camera an even bigger plus!

So, bottom line, a cheap phone I can use on t-mobile with my existing SIMS that wouldn't kill me to replace if I had too.

    Thanks!

    Re: Replacement help

Any t mobile prepaid phone will work with just putting their sim card in it. I know that wal-mart has a few different ones available. There are 3 different flip phones I've seen at them. One of them is the razr. I haven't looked close enough to know what the other ones were. We've bought my teenager a few different ones that way. the last one she left out on the lawn and it got watered. She had to go a few months without ANY phone. This seems to have fixed the random not caring if it gets lost or damaged problem.

I agree with Johnee. I was in the same boat awhile back and when I called TMobile they just told me to go buy any TMobile pre-paid phone and slap my sim card in it and it would work. It's alot cheaper than buying them anywhere else.
