g1 questions

I am thinking about getting a g1 and i was wondering if 1. anyone had an opinion on this phone wither good or bad. 2. wether or not this phone now comes with the upgrades that came from the cupcake upgrade.

I'm also very interested in the G1, but I've heard AIM on it sucks, it's not real time? That's disturbing to me since I use it often.

i personally do like that phone

ive heard that the screen is fragile and dropping it too much will crack it, but my opinion on that... well... you shouldnt be dropping $500 electronics.

i cant say much as to how AIM is, but on ALL cell phones there is a delay in instant messaging

I agree with xexy, I think the G1 is the best phone T-Mobile has EVER HAD!!! Even though the HTC myTouch is about to be up for preorder on July 8th, it lacks the keyboard which I have grown to love on it. I don't know about you but touch screen texting is not and has never been my cup of tea, i.e. the iphone, so the option to be able to do both is outstanding. Now with landscape texting, auto screen orientation, and the new Cupcake update, I feel like my phone surpasses the iphone in every way. (I just wish we had Flash!!!)

P.S. T-Mobile has what is called a Buyer's Remorse period which allows you to return the phone for any reason at all (except for damage) for a full refund, so it doesn't hurt to try. Of course you'll eat the shipping costs, better that than a whole phone right? Just try it out, expect your bill to increase $24.99 as the phone does not work without the G1 internet on it. Good luck!!!

yes all very good so i am going to go ahead and buy myself a g1 thanks alot i am assuming that it will come with the new updates like vidoe and touch screen keyboard all the things from the cupcake update

any suggestions on color any favorite any one looks better than the others i did hear something about not being able to see the letters on the keys on some certain colors?
