Hi,
Been searching around for a possible new provider. How is Tmobiles service and reception of the phones. I prefer prepaid plans as I don't use the phone very much except maybe some texting, and they have some nice little phones as well.
Im probably either gonna do Tmobile,Verizon or stick with Virgin Mobile, but I wanna get the cheapest plan as possible.
Any major issues with Tmobile and their phones etc..

Re: Tmobile quality?
Well, T-Mobile is a good contract carrier...but prepay is a bit different.
They offer two types of plans: pay by day or pay per use.
Pay per day:
$1.00 on days you use it
10 cents per minute for all domestic calls
Unlimited Nights 7pm-7am
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile
10 cents to send, 5 cents to receive text messages
Pay per use:
View the attachment for further details.
Their network isn't all that great. They do offer roaming on their newer prepaid plans; however, no map reflects that. View the other attachment to view their full prepay coverage. Remember, there may be more coverage than you see. Their maps do not reflect roaming that may now be available.
Maps I've attached include:
T-Mobile (to-goMap.gif). It's the lighter green coverage map.
Boost Mobile (nextel) iDEN coverage (nextel-coverage-map.gif)...it's yellow. Canada coverage is not applicable.
Verizon Wireless INPulse Prepay (verizon_inpulse.jpg). It's red.

Re: Tmobile quality?
Internet speed is mostly based on "claims" not "facts". AT&T claims to have the fastest 3G speeds...while Verizon Wireless claims to have the largest...but so does Sprint.
Actual tests show different results. From my experiences, AT&T IS NOT the fastest. Their network seems to switch from 3G to EDGE randomly...without purpose...even if you're in a completely covered area by 3G. This makes it nearly impossible to maintain a fast connection, since EDGE is about the same speeds as dial-up.
Verizon Wireless also has problems maintaining a fast broadband network...however, whenever you're in a premier area...it works perfectly and speeds are always fast.
Sprint PCS may have good speeds...but everything else is horrible. Don't call customer service. That situation is improving; however.
T-Mobile provides 3G in very few markets...which makes them have the worst high speed network.
