I need help getting out of my T-Mobile contract... Its a tricky situation...

I really need hep getting out of my contract with T-mobile. I just upgraded in July and am now stuck in contract for another 21 months. I've read all around the web hearing tricks of getting out of contract. But my situation is a little tricky, and may be harder to do than those ones I've seen on the web, so I may need an expert of some sort to help. Here's the situation details:

-I just upgraded 3 months ago with another 2 year contract.
-I have the 49.99 T-Mobile Loyalty Plan with myTouch unlimited web and text.

What is the best way to get out of contract??? I tried using the Sept. 1st T-Mobile changing the contract (45cent minute price change) way out... but got shut down by T-Mobile...with them saying that I couldn't get the overage charges per minute due to me having unlimited minutes... and that it expired 2 weeks ago...and them saying that I had to have overage charges is previous months....

I need help Please... If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Well, you have to wait for them to change the terms of your specific contract, or something that applies to you. You have an unlimited plan, and they won't take you off of it, so your stuck. Thats a good deal anyways, why would you want to move? You signed a contract for 2 years, so your stuck like chuck, or just pay the 200 ETF.

The only way to get out of it for free, well somewhat, would be to move into an area where the is no service, I dont mean just a dead spot, but no service in the town what so ever. You would then have to prove to them you live there with a Utility bill or something similar showing you live there, and have them check the service map there. If it shows you have service, you stuck.

You signed the contract, thats on you. I told you the only 2 options that are possible in my eyes. Pay up or lie to them with the expense and take the chance. There is nothing tricky about your situation, you have a great deal and your trying to get a better one, pay the piper! Your plan should be like 80 minimun, so all the money you saved should have banked 400 bucks for the ETF's. If not, stay with them until your contract is up, you signed it, remember that.

Re: I need help getting out of my T-Mobile contract... Its a tricky situation...

I know there was some hubbub about carriers changing their ETF rules, don't know if Tmo is one of them. For instance, on Sprint (I think) if you cancel before the first year or so you are stuck for the $200/line. After that the fee drops $10/month until there's $50 left on the tab. it's the lowest you can pay breaking contract.

You can try doing a change of responsibility for you line(s) and hope someone with good credit will want to take your contract out of your hands. Other than that you are up that creek without a paddle. As far as "tricks" to get out of contract, I believe carriers are becoming more savvy and being more careful how they word the contracts and changes their in.
