Re: planning to get a T-Mobile service
Here are a few facts:
- T-Mobile is probably one of the cheapest contract carriers available
- T-Mobile has excellent customer service.
- T-Mobile is a national carrier, but they have very limited coverage and where coverage doesn't exist, you may be using AT&T as a roaming partner
- T-Mobile has the smallest 3G network for a national carrier
It is definitely true that T-Mobile is a cheap provider, but they are cheap in more than one respect. You will notice a lack of coverage in most areas, except those that are metropolitan, and you'll be roaming a lot. This means you will not be able to take advantage of all of the features T-Mobile has to offer all the time. Keep in mind that service does vary from area to area so T-Mobile may be the best carrier for you in your area.

Re: planning to get a T-Mobile service
Service and coverage areas are always local issues depending on carrier. Most of us use our phones 99% of the time in one local area. Be sure to check what is the truth for your local area rather than relying on blanket commercial statements or other people's opinions from other places. Example: T-Mobile and Verizon offer the best coverage in my city. But if I lived somewhere else that may not be true. I'm not concerned if T-Mobile offers good coverage in Idaho or Nebraska or wherever. I don't live there. Think local.
