Hi,
My girlfriend's 17 year old son is constantly on his t-mobile razer type cell phone. She wants to be able to block the single to get him off the phone, so you can communicate with him. He is a pretty big guy, so she can not force the phone from him. He's starting to get into bad groups of people and she needs to get a lot person one on one time with him. By blocking the phone signal she, (and I) think we might be able talk with him without constant incoming texts, and call.
Anyway, she got a small black jammer that was about 3"2"x.5" with the antennas labeled (GSM, DCS, GPS) but it did not work on his phone, but did stop her Verizon phone from working. We do not know the exact model of the phone, and he will not let ANYone touch it. But is looks like a razr from T-mobile. She has a hard land line in the house, so emergencies are covered. She would like to have a jammer that would work locally just in the house, say 30-40 ft. Any suggestions, links, model numbers, etc that might be of help??
Thanks

Re: Girlfirend want to jam son's t-mopile phone
Well, cell phone jammers are COMPLETELY ILLEGAL for use in the United States of America and most other countries.
Here is the United States law:illegal to operate, manufacture, import, or offer for sale, including advertising (Communications Act of 1934), with fines of up to $11,000 and imprisonment of up to one year.
Maybe he should have Verizon Wireless too, that way you could just use usage controls and prevent him from using his phone except for when permitted by you. View here.
AT&T has a nearly identical feature called Wireless Parental Controls. View here.
T-Mobile supposedly has something similar to parental controls, but I have yet to see it...I even searched their site. PhoneScoop said something about it but that it was only available on family plans...but I couldn't find it.

Well, you'd better not do that. Cell phone signal jammers are illegal for private use. If you want to use a phone jammer, you should make sure phone jammers are permissible in your country or state.
