    Hey guys, this is my first time in these forums but I thought I'd give it a shot. I had my phone stolen yesterday and have filed a claim with Asurion. As most may know, it's the insurance carrier that replaces your phone in case of damage, lost, or stolen.
    What are your experiences with Asurion, be it good or frustrating. I have read that not always they replace it with a new handset? I want an identical replacement brand new.

    You may not get brand new, maybe referbished. Sealed and certified.

    Used it for teenagers losing phones. You get a refurbed phone if they have one of the same type. If too old then they give you a choice of what is current that is "equal" in their eyes to what you lost. It looks new and in the box and sent very quickly but in some cases they have not worked well and had to be returned a couple of times till you got a set that worked. My overall is a 6 out of 10.
