T-mobile offers these mobile data plans:
mobile-broadband.t-mobile.com/plans
The plans do not require a contract but are meant for mobile hotspots, tablets, and laptop sticks. Is it possible to use these plans on a smartphone (Galaxy S2,SIII, Iphone ) that is unlocked?

Re: Mobile broadband plans on a smartphone
I believe these plans and the SIM cards that go with them are provisioned for data only. So in other words, you may be able to use them in a phone, but you would not be able to make calls with that phone.
