My parents have a plan with T-Mobile where they got trapped into an additional two year contract just because they changed the number of minutes in their plan. In the previous plan they were out of contract, month to month.
Since we were moving we changed out minutes and just because of that we got trapped in a new two year contract. Now, the signal that we have is so bad that it is impossible to use any of our phones. It seems like, no matter where we go the signal sucks and if we do somehow magically connect it is a really crappy connection and only lasts a little while.
Not only did they put us into a new contract but they didn't inform us that we were being put into a new contract and there was nothing going along with it. We only figured it out awhile later when we were going into the store to complain about the non-existent signal.
As we were going in and multiple times afterwards, their custumer service was absolutely horrible. They were not helpful and hey really only treated us like crap!
Now I have a cellphone myself and geting it to work is really difficult. It doesn't matter where I am: school, in the town, in the city, wherever. The phone is practically unusable and it is like that with all of the phones in my family.
I highly recommend that you pick ANY other carrier than T-Mobile.

Re: T-Mobile Issues
So many times it is not even funny. Not only have we gone in or called trying to fix the problem but the customer service has been quite horrible each time to the point where it feels as if they are treating us like crap. On top of that nothing is ever solved or fixed in any way.

hrm, when you inadvertently renewed your contract you should be given a credit towards new phones. Did you ask about that? If anything I would get those phones, resell them, pay the ETF, and go with someone else.
btw, what phone do you have? Do other phones get better reception?

Do you have other phones that you can try and see if you'll get good signal?
