i was one of lazy ones who didnt check coverage area by T-mobile. i bought phone and sign for 2 yrs contract in Nov 2012. within 30 days i relize and went to return the phone and cancel the contract. That time, staff at TM store told me, after the merger with Metro PC, service will be ok as already maps shows good signal in my area. Trusting these ppl, i kept the service. Merger happened i complained to TM store, they said complained to Customer relations, which i did and requested to cancel the contract and waive cancellation Charges. they declined to that.
so far i have changed phone 3 times, changed sim card 2 times, upgrade the software many times, but still TM signals are bad. i hear garbled voice for incoming as well as outgoing calls (thats in case if i have activated phone with wi-fi. without wifi phone is dead. if i leave my wifi area, phone doesnt work. wrote a letter again to customer relations, again they declined. wrote 3rd letter with demand that your Engineer come in my area (as tech help keep saying Engineers are working in our area) contact me. btw, we have 200+ condos in the complex, and nobody has TM. i got as i was new to area and didnt know about bad service of TM in our area.
as of today still waiting for their answer. if they decline, i will have no other way except sue them for my monthly payments i made.
soon to be Ex-customer of TM in 94536 zip code

    Re: T-Mobile bad coverage

Thanks for sharing - I moved your post to its own thread. Hope you sort things out soon!

Btw, wi-fi should have nothing to do with your voice signal. wi-fi = data.
