8290 unlocking

Cheap cable off ebay $2+$6 shipping and I was able to unlock 5 phones with
"Nokia DCT3 Service Pro By XPmobile (SG)",
step 1 ) select Phone model NSB-7(8290)
step 2) select Modify Locks , Reset SP lock (ignore error)
your are done.

Tried lots of programs But this is the only one I could get to work.
Make sure the cable is working in MBUS mode with a program like LogoManager
first, with my cable it doesn't always connect to the phone on the first
try. The connection is under the battery and it requires the battery to be
reinstalled at a angle, looks funny but works.

Eh, thanks for that, but it's no secret, just about everyone here can unlock
a DCT3 Nokia.

Your welcome, how many US only GSM phones you get over there ? I'am sure
I'am not cutting into your bis very much as these phones are not worth a
round trip to the old world. Most of the unlocking seems to be there (with
the US only model phones low on the testing list). Maybe that is why I went
threw at least 10 programs before I found one that would work.
