getting pics and ringtones onto a e700 via irda cable?

i've got a samsung e700, an irda cable and the correct software from samsung with it. i can transfer phone numbers between the pc and the phone via the irda cable, but it won't let me transfer tones and pics through it.

can anyone please tell me how to get tones and pics via the irda cable onto my phone

when you say correct software, you're using easy studio software...right?

e700 = easy studio
e715 = easy gprs

i read on another forum that the errors your are describing is from using the wrong samsung software. i have e715 with easy gprs software, so i'm not too familar the e700 and software packages (errors and stuff).

Unfortunately, none of the easy stuff work(don't know about studio). GPRS does not(read never) transfer a single file to my ir-synced C100. Always an error like picture transfer failed, or ringtone transfer failed. now easyGsm was worse. It did never even detect my phone(N620). I gotta admit, nokia provides software that work.

that's good. i wonder what kind of nokia software you had because the ones i had never worked as great samsungs. the plus about samsung software is that it's free instead of oxygen manager or logomanager you gotta pay. anyways, glad that you got everything working.
