Scam??? RAZR for $150 - NIgeria

Has anyone else ever dealt with these people. I was wondering if anyone can vouch for them or if anyone could shar etheir experience. It seems too good to be true.

I was tempted to try it. I figured that I'd have my Credit Card Fraud protection is something were to go wrong. Any suggestions?

It is a scam and fraud. Dont do the deal even if they pay 500 for the phone. You will never get you money and the phone will be gone too.

I recently experienced this. The item was a wireless router which I had advertized on sulekha.com. The guy claiming to be in Canada, asked me to ship it to Nigeria. The item was for $15 but I got an email that bidpay was sending me $20 by Money order. The guy sent me a fedex # too. So most of us would think it is genuine. I shipped the item to Nigeria (as specified in the order confirmation from bidpay), sent the tracking # and got another email that the MO has been sent to me and should get it in a few days. Never arrived and I am sure if it does, it will be a fraud.

I have also come across a report on msn.com about this fraud wherein people send more money that the item and then request you to refund or send them the balance. you send good money to them and after a few weeks you bank informs you that the MO you submitted was fraud and takes the money back. You lose both ways.

This is another variation of the same fraud. I am sure you will get nothing or get junk. And then spend so much of your time trying to take that off your CC bill. Worse you now have to change you CC # since someone interested in fraud has your CC # and address. They would be close to stealing your identity too.

Play along for fun if you want, but dont give any personal info or CC#
If you tell them that you will pay only after you receive the item and that it is in working condition, I am sure they will not sell to you.

IF the offer is from a genuine person, I would still suggest you dont do that.
The phone is already available for free or almost after rebates from many retailers in the USA. Here at least the law will protect you. In NJ, my retailer even unlocks the phone. If you are interested, PM me and I will give you all the contact information about the retailer and you can contact him personally or even as a friend in NJ area to visit and confirm that the retailer is genuine. I got 2 Razr last month, both unlocked and for T-mobile, for almost free after rebate.
