im not too sure, but i just recently cancelled a telus contract and they asked if i wanted to transfer it to someone else to save me from paying the $100 fee...I asked and was told that the person who I transfer it to would be able to get a new number. I'd think if you wanted to switch plans from one telus one to another you'd be able to keep the same number...use your phone and call #611 (customer service) and ask them though...
A word to the wise isn't necessary, it's the stupid ones that need it...

I called 4 different telus stores and customer service,Told there is a good chance that they may be able to do that for me.I was also told that the number goes with the service plan. So I guess i'll have to go down there in person with my buyer and see if they can help me out with that.
