i didnt see anyone post about trying to put stuff in their razr with telus so ill start this one :P
first i installed the driver and got mpt installed in a few sec but i wasnt able to get my phone recognised and found somewhere that i had to add it manually and
since u cant find the v3c in the list u gotta select v710m;it worked and i can do everything with mpt (manage my phone, upload mp3s,midis,pics and animated gifs).i can set all the pics and gifs to wallpapers and sreensaver(small animated .gif does work in sreensaver)there is one thing though,u cant assign the mp3s and midis u upload on ur phone!!!!pretty anoying i had the same issue with my audiovox 8900.it seems that telus blocked this again and try to make us look like
fools so we dont have any other choice to pay for ringtones....but im pretty sure theres a way to get in the phone and do something.
i had no luck with the other app like midway and moto tool, they dont seem to recognise my phone and cant find any infos how to set this to make it work
please help me out id like to add games and stuff if anybody can let me know

    thx

same damned problem... I went and made a nice "get ready for this loop" and when I tried to set it, it just doesn't want to go.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

    Re: razr and mpt

Verizon has put a block on the V3c RAZRs. Some people have selected e815 as the phone model to get it to recognize.

I'm not sure if they have an agreement setup with Telus for you to get tones or not.

    Re: razr and mpt

I have seen a solution posted online, which was confirmed by other razr users. First you'll need to download a program called BitPim from bitpim.org, then follow these instructions:

First of all, load any mp3 or mp3's you wish to use into your phone via MPT, once you have transferred the mp3's close MPT and start up BitPim, Then using BitPim go into the "filesystem tab and delete the files "MyToneDB.db" and "TmpTneDB.db, reboot your phone and then assign ringtones.

Use these at your own risk, you are deleting files from your phone temporarily which technically should rebuild when you reboot your phone. No guarantees but several users said this worked.

I just wanted to confirm that
    thattelusguy
    post,is the working method presently.

I learned it shortly after getting my V3c, and it is the only way i found to get it to work, although you have to set your ringers through ringer details etc..

    Peace

    Re: razr and mpt

    THANKS!
All works good after the bitpim download, I was able to put my ringtone in on my razr from Telus.
I am still not able to change any other tones for messaging etc from the Telus tones. Should I be able to change any tones or only the ring tone.
    Thanks again.

    Re: razr and mpt

The file deletion concept worked well and was quite straightforward from within Bitpim after opening the filesystem folder. What I have found is that the best "phone type" to use when configuring MPT and Bitpim (and potentially other software as well) is the V3cm (at least with my Telus V3c). When using MPT 4.5.6a configured for a V3cm, I can transfer files back and forth (pictures and MP3s), I can use the Mulit-media Studio function in MPT "clip" MP3s, I can sync both Contacts and Calendar entries and i am able to use my phone as wireless modem as well.

The only hiccup is that I don't seem to be able to have both Calendar and Contacts sync'd to my phone simultaneously; syncing both causes a random corruption of the contact records on the phone (turns them garbage). I have tried syncing both Contacts and Calendar records together with MPT, I have tried syncing Contacts 1st and then Calendar entries, I have tried Calendar entries 1st and then Contacts, but the same thing keeps happening to the Contact records. If I set the phone type to a Telus V3c I don't even have the option of syncing the Calendar entries and the rest of the file transfer functionality dispppears as well.

    Any suggestions would be great.
