okay its pretty simple and im not the one who found it actually i just followed instructions and made it in a few minutes.
1.i already had mpt 4.04 installed and i wont mention how to connect ur phone on the pc and where to get to drivers, u can find links and infos on this forum
2.u need mp3s(or midis if ur a phony) on ur phone,i use mpt and i found out that u dont even need to cut it to 30sec or less but i use this prog mp3resizer and set the bitrate to 64kb and i can assign every mp3s on my phone, the song just keep playing, doesnt stop after 30 sec.
3.once u have a few mp3s at 64kb(u can try more if u want but i dont think it could work)u need bitpim,u can get it from the website bitpim
i tried the latest version and it worked perfectly
dont try to detect ur phone u gotta follow the intructions on this page,u will find everything u have to do
    how to...with bitpim

thats it,but there is 1 thing i almost forgot to mention,u wont be able to assign ur mp3s as ringtones from ur sounds in the media gallery,u can only do it from the settings/personalize/sound settings.....

    here u go, have fun
now i gotta find a way to add games....

i managed to play a little bit more with my phone earlier and found how to flash my phone or play with the "seem" well whatever,i thought it wasnt possible but it is.i was stuck with PST,i couldnt make it work and u need this connected to ur phone to use p2kseem(theres 1 or 2 other prog u can use but p2kseem does the job)
the only thing i changed was the little "telus" u see on the external screen when ur phone is open, added a easy keypad lock (ctrl+*) wich is pretty cool
u can also replace the two telus logo that appear when u open and close ur phone(the first one doesnt really show for long enough to be a animated gif but the one when u close the phone show for a few sec)
i gotta admit, after ive done the stuff with the seem when i tried to close it it didnt really it was frozen so i had to remove the battery and when i powered it on it got frozen, got my phone like 4 days ago....but after this it works like a charm

if u have any questions ill be happy to help u out

I am with Telus and found that this didn't work. However, I did find a link with all the information needed to do this.

aznuwee - How to use MP3 Ringtones on Your MOTOKRZR K1m

It says it is for Krazr, but it worked for both Razr V3c and Krazr.

Follow each step, and it will get you through.

Also, after you have restarted your phone, you may find the ringtones for the phone numbers have changed.. You will need to set each one again, then it will remember them.
Best to load in several songs at once.

Song length and rate don't matter.

    Good luck!

Re: assign ur mp3 as ringtones with telus!!!yes, its possible

I have a Telus V3c that is about a year and a half old; I have found that using by MPT 4.5.6a and manually changing the phone type to a V3cm by accessing the MPT menu then selecting setup - general setup - communication (tab) - change modem (button) and then following the prompts, I am able to use the MPT Multi-media studio function on my standard V3c. That allows me to modify MP3s from my PC (shorten / clip them) and load them to the phone.

After having loaded the MP3s to the phone using MPT (it seems to auto-load then to the Audio folder, even if I drag and drop to the Ringtone folder) I then used Bitpim to access the phone's file system and deleted the MyToneDB.db file and to execute a reboot. The MP3 was then available for assignment as a ringtone.

By the way, as a side note, I was also able to access all my pictures through MPT with the phone defined as a V3cm, instead of a V3c.

I have done no "seem" editing or flashing of the phone either; both of which void any warranty you may have left. This can be an issue if you have any firmware/software issues you are looking for official support on.

    I hope this helps.
