I am planning on buying a new cell phone with telus but in a year i am going to be moving from calgary to edmonton. So would I be able to still use the same phone even though I would be in a different city? Any help would be appreciated, I just don't want to spend over $100 on a cell phone and only be able to use it for a year.

Your Telus phone will work anywhere on the Telus network which is across Canada. The only thing you may want to do is reconsider your phone number as the 403 area code will be long distance to everyone in Edmonton who wants to call you and will also cost you too. Might need to get a local 780 number for your cell phone once you move.
