A story...

Hey all, yesterday, my sweet little wifey lost her razr.

She runs a dayhome for young kids and lost it between the park and our home. Being she has her hands full all the time, she did not notice the phone missing till she returned home again an ssen it gone off of her belt.

Well we took a few strolls up an down the street where she travelled and no luck, it was gone.

Then i remembered that we installed kid track on our 3 phones, so i ran back inside and used it, it gave me a couple addresses where the phone was or may be at, i hoped in the ol truck an beat a path there thinking it was picked up by someone driving by in a car.

Well i hit the address it said, and it was a bus stop, damn i thought, dont have pc with me to update location and the bus stop is empty, so i am thinking its gone.

Little while later i took another stroll down the street an the neighbor a few doors down opens her door an asks, did you lose something, of course i reply yes and she goes back into her house an returns with the lost razr.

Now it turned out good an all, but i called that phone must have been 20-30 times from my cell hoping i 'd hear it in a pile of leaves or other, so it must have rang like crazy while she had it in her house, and she did not answer it.

I called telus an told them i used kid find to track my phone, but couldnt zero in on it, they were impressed, told me i was the first to use the service in the part of the woods and held my hand while we shut down the line to the lost phone before i found my neighbor had it. They went as far to offer me a refurb to replace my lost one, at a reduced price, i was still like, ill think about it in case ours reappears.

Well after getting the phone back,i seen it had registered the pile of calls i made to it an it also had on the msg's that kid track had been iniated by the user and then telus called it prior to cutting it off.

I think the event of that showing, then telus calling it, made the person who watched me on the street for over an hour come forward to unload the lost phone.

Turns out her grandson found it in the leaves on the sidewalk an took it home to granny, whom told me she was gonna hang onto it till her daughter got home anknew what to do.
I think she knew what to, an did it accordingly.

Gonna go get some pop an candy for the little kid, he's young an took it home to granny eventually, no scratches or dents etc..so he deserves a little treat.

So, if you lose your phone, try the kid track service, then have telus call it to make it look real official like and it may be enough to sway an undecided person to return to thier senses.

Peace WR

I love this story!

This is how cell technology should be working.

Now, I hope you got that young man properly hopped up on caffeine and sugar.

Re: A story...

Man, I lost 2 cellphones in the past 2 years and I wish I had thought about that!

Since I lose a phone each year, I guess I still ahve a few months left with my current one before I can try that trick...
