I think I might kiss Telus' ass here...
A family member "misplaced" my phone, and of course the battery was dead. It's been about 48 hours, and maybe I jumped the gun a little bit, but I called up Telus to see what my options were.
I actually just switched from Pay and Talk to a 1 year contract about a month ago. At the time, I was given the option to get a $50 credit on my first bill, or $50 off a new phone. I choose the bill, as I had no intention of buying a new phone at the time.
Anyway, what she did for me was, asked me to pay the $50 and she would cancel my contract and I would be able to start new with a new contract (OR I can actually, just switch carriers since I am no longer under contract, even though she never said that, .. but I like Telus enough to stick with them anyway).
I told my self I was research the hell out of my options before I buy any more phones. I made that mistake after buying a Motorola before looking into it.
Either way, I looked up on the Nokia 6165i (6265i being the predecessor !?). I haven't found many reviews for it being worthy, but does anyone have any experience with it?
I liked it because it's simple and it doesn't have all the bells and whistles (waste of money MP3 player and TV and Satellite radio blah blah).
It seems like a good bang for the buck.
Anyone?
