Telus Text messaging.......

I have had recently quite a problem with Telus and my text messaging.
aparently my texts become delayed or "corrupted". and i have to keep phoning in for them to fix it, it has become quite a hassle to phone! almost a weekly occurance!!!!, like i said this has happened quite recently, i have had no problem in the past with it, also the part that makes me mad is when your texts are down it also affects your voicemail and everything else gets clogged up. It gets me angry to the point of cancelling my contract with them.

So how can I fix this without phoning all the time. And this happens when im in digital coverage even! Anybody else has had these problems.....???????

I also forgot to add, I have no problem sending the texts, just the recieving part is the problem, and it is really hard to figure out if it is acting up or not unless i get someone else or myself calling the phone and leaving a message, usually if the voicemail icon dosen't show on the phone then i know there is a problem with the text and voicemail.

Ive had this problem with both my phones ive had with telus, my first was a pay as you go and i could send but i could recieve, and my one i have now it happens all the time, and sometimes i was able to just wait and theyd eventually start coming but slowly, but the last time it happened it stopped for alomst 24 hours and then you get stuck having to call,i really dont think theres anyway around it if there was it wouldmake things so much simpler!

i find to fix most programming problems with a telus phone is to just auto-reprogram it, to reprogram the phone: call *22803, listen to instruction, (usualy press 1 for english, ) then it will give you an option to press one to program phone, (wich i would recommend in this case) and option 2 is to update roaming list, after you program the phone, turn the phone off, back on, then dial: *8378 to test and verify the programing was succesful, it should be fine now.

Ps. if the programing was unsucesful, then just redo the programing *22803 number and test again afterwords,

In the event of reprograming your phone, do you lose any data that was previously on it? Such as ringtones, pictures, older text messages, Phone numbers etc

Keep in mind that you cannot text outside of Winnipeg due to no data coverage.
