there are so many reasons to hate telus. in addition to ripping off cell phone customers, the new webmail service is a nightmare. and as an indication of how the company treats its customers or thinks about its customers, this is the message when webmail goes down... "Service is unavailable, try again later." a big screw you. interesting that they don't even bother to add a few extra words to be respectful to customers. why not "Sorry, service is unavailable, please try again later"? when i got a sales call for telus' new tv service, i laughed...like i would want the headache of dealing with them for yet another service?? ha!

    Re: Telus Sucks

    I AGREE!!!!!!

I dunno, like a year ago I purchased the Treo 750wx (I think it is) and went on a data plan. Well back then there data plans were different, you paid so much as got so many Mg per month, which was fine with me. The only data I used was recieving email, and on their web site when I signed up for the plan, it said that I should be able to recieve aprox. 30 email per day I think it was. But to make sure that I wouldn't go over my data usage, the phone had a data blocker in which it would only allow so much of a email to come through to the phone, and if I required the rest I could download it, which I never did because the only types of emails I get are text. Now I aprox. only recieve on average 10-15 emails per day, that being well under the aprox. usage I should be able to use. Well here comes my next bill.......$400.00......

When I recieved my bill I was in shock, I didn't know how the hell I used that much data, I only recieve emails (don't browse the web) and I stay well under respected email quantity I should be able to receive per day.

So I called up Telus and spoke to one of their agents as well as sent in a VERY angry email. All they would say is that I had to of used the data, there system isn't wrong. Boy was I pissed, nobody, would listen to me. So I said fine I take my phone to a Telus dealer and personally show them that my phone has the data blocker turned on, and that there is no way in hell I would be able to use that much data.

After doing just that, the Telus Rep at the dealer even agreed with me, he even called in to help with my situation........all I can say is that didn't get me anywhere.

So I went home, once again called up Telus, spoke to an agent, quickly gave my credit card number, paid the bill, and just as fast change my plan to the cheapest plan they offered. Said to the agent thanks for your wonderful service, I will no longer pay these expensive prices, left my phone sit, paid the monthly bill of $20, purchased a new phone at fido and left it at that.

This may have been my fault, maybe it was possible that I did use that much data, but if they are going to advertise in a data plan that you should be able to receive aprox. 30 emails per day, then thats what you should get............CASE CLOSED!!!!!!
