Re: telus blocks ringtones
yes they do block it, basically, to force you to download their ringtones...do some research on your phone there is probably a way to unblock that feature, will probably require use of a data cable.

Re: telus blocks ringtones
You'd need to download BitPim and a Hexconverter in order to put Ringtones on your phones, i've done it successfully on my LG Chocolate Flip.

Re: telus blocks ringtones
if ur model is 710, then load the bitpim program, then connect phone (not in data mode), then click on "edit" go to "settings" after this select your phone type and model # then click ok. now click on file system (make sure under "view" view filesystem is clicked) and find the folder where the ringtones are located, mines differnet than urs. So i dont know the exact folder for the ringtones r.

Re: telus blocks ringtones
i did that with bit pim i view file system then delete 2 files the MyToneDB.db and TmpTneDB.db but i can't still play my own ringtones or maybe coz my ringtones is coming from my tflash just moved to the phone, coz theres no other way for me to transfer ringtones through the computer coz telus blocked it i can't use mpt or p2k commander coz it won't let it,iee seen seem edit but it looks complicated to me,i'm just wandering if u can give me a correct link for telus v710 coz the one that i can always find is for verizon i know it's cdma as well but still coz i heard that only works for verizon.....thanks
