hello is there anyone who can help me, my boyfriend was online today and ended up winning the new Palm Pre on ebay, when i checked the phone to pay for it i noticed it said BAD ESN #, but it was never opened, and it was for flashing use only and no box....what does all this mean???? i'm sooo confussed right now, i dont want to pay for a phone he cant use or that is worthless....please help me....

Bad ESN can't be activated.
Never opened; no box???
Ask the seller to cancel the transaction,
because you thought you were buying a serviceable phone.
or ask the seller how to flash it and activate it.

That's the problem with eBay. You have to watch and read what you bid on.
Sounds like your boyfriend is now the proud owner of a paperweight.
People like me, who repair cell phones, often buy phones with bad ESN's for other parts. Make sure to read the entire eBay listing in the future.
