Looking for a PAYG SIM that I can use during my infrequent trips to Ireland,
perhaps once or twice a year that doesn't need topping up each month or
needs a call to be made every few months. All the ones I've seen have some
sort of commitment that would make them unsuitable.

Looks good! Noticed the UK version of the card has a service life whilst
there is no mention if one for the Ireland SIM. Take it that means there
    isn't one then?

I've got a Meteor card, AFAIK it doesn't expire or anything. I check the
sim occasionally when in the UK as I get texts on it. The benefit of Meteor
in my case is that all my friends are on Meteor too, and they have all these
free text deals etc, and they get free texts to me even when in this country

    Re: Irish PAYG SIM

I bought an Irish Voda PAYG sim from unlockingireland purely for signal
testing purposes in uk (it'll roam on all 4 uk networks).

I was after cheapest non uk sim with longest period for not topping up
    - Irish Voda with no need to top up for 12 months was best I could
    find.
