I've just bought a Virgin SIM just for the number to port over, put a fiver
on it to get it registered and working, but was wondering if Vm expect the
SIM to be registered for any particular length of time before they'll give
me the PAC code?
I know Vm will give me the code over the phone, as I went through the
process a year ago with a Vm number I had for some time, but wondered if
registered on Sat, PAC on Mon, will cause a prob . . . . and they can keep
the fiver!
thanks
Andrew

A PAC is valid for 30 days, and you can only have one PAC at a time
for a phone number, so you shouldn't be able to get a PAC from Virgin
until a month after the first one was issued.
Some people report having got one sooner, but I don't think they
should have, and I'd personally not take the risk of it screwing up
and me losing the number.

It does explain on the website, you can also email Virgin to get the correct
answer or phone them on 789 from your Virgin phone. Customer service is
fairly good. Always best to ask the company concerned and then you are
guaranteed to get the correct answer - unless you find someone on here who
works for Virgin and has knowledge of your account.

The simplest way would be to phone and ask them, they can only say no..!
