phone suggestion for a 90 year old?

Well, my grandpa is now into his 90's and has realized that he could do
with a modile phone for "just incase".

It would need to be as simple to use as possible and have a large easy
to read keyboard and screen for slow fingers and dodgy eyes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

How about a Nokia 1100?

I think they're £25 from Tesco at the moment.

It's a shame the mobile companies don't realise there is a MASSIVE market
for this kind of thing. Some of us don't want the phone to be the size of a
matchbox with tiny buttons and tiny display. So what if it plays 500 tunes
or something. A lot of us still want just a phone to be a phone.
Best thing to do is maybe go around Tesco and compare them in real size,
it's often difficult to give a recommendtion. Also have a look on the
Virgin site as it gives measurements and things. One with simple features
is often best as I doubt he will be doing email, text and browsing the
internet.

If you can find an orange Shop with stock left, they are doing the
house-brick like Motorola C975 for £40. You'll struggle to find bigger
buttons on anything else.

This could be just what I'm looking for too. But I can't for the life of me
find any info on whether there is a minimum monthly top up required on
Vodafone PAYG. Can anyone enlighten me? I'm looking for a phone which will
just be used for emergencies so don't really want one with a minimum monthly
spend.

TIA
Snuggles

I don't think there is a minimum Top Up, Snugs.

ALSO, with Vodafone, you can take advantage of "Stop The Clock" (evenings
and weekends, talk for 60 mins, and only pay for 3 mins - on any SINGLE
call)

Hello,

we have quite a collection of early mobiles with large screens and big
buttons which would be fit for the purpose. Give us a call & we will
find something suitable
