I bought a Nokia 7600 on 3 (talk & text 600) from e2save.com last year on a
£4.99 a month deal. (Bad mistake, 3 does not work well and I could not make
calls as they dropped and often failed).
My first cashback was at 6 months and they got it totally wrong. I had to
call them and challenge the amount received by cheque. After sending them
their e-mail confirmation the balance was paid.
At 12 months (3 contract cancelled), I claimed my 2nd cashback and not only
included my 12th bill as required but also supplied a covering letter
detailing the cashback required with a copy of the original e-mail detailing
same. I got a cashback less than half of what I was due!!
Called them on their revenue generating 0870 number and explained the
problem and was assured they would rectify the problem with a cheque for the
difference. A month later nothing materialised.
Another call to their money making helpline (usual 15 minute wait while they
make some cash), apologies and all the rest - they admit they got things
wrong, not once but twice and worse they failed to correct things the second
time at the first attempt. Pretty pathetic.
I know Carphone Warehouse own e2save.com but one has to wonder how things go
so badly wrong. They seem to be able to identify customers and retain bank
details etc by postcode should you need to buy another product. Cashback
seems to be a very different matter, not straightforward at all, frustrating
and perhaps deliberately so?
My advice - make your claim and persist until you get what you are due and
keep a record of all dealings with e2save.com from the outset.

They sometimes don't stick to their cashback schedule, but when you get all
the cashback, they should all add up to the correct amount.

ask in future, or search, I gave the local 01 number out the other day
on here or look on saynoto0870.com. I thought they at least used 0845
now anyway, or so their website says.

those cash back offers are very tempting, but would you agree then it isn't
worth all the hassle, when you can get a similar offer (in terms of capital
spent) from a reputable company?

I would agree with that. That is why I complained to Andy at
www.MobileChecker.com that he seems to be reluctant to list in his tables
Orange online offers that are often better than those from onestopphoneshop
or e2save . For example SE W800 on YP120 offered at Orange website at £225
total yearly cost is not included in his table while OVP Relax 100 at
£271.49 or even OVP Voda 100 at £285.99.

Re: e2save cashback - deliberate errors?
I know most of the time we use this group to moan about companies but credit
where credit due, I received two cheques this morning, both for £157.50.
Sent of copies of bills and covering letter referring to two contracts on
the 18th November, so not a bad turn around. Both contracts were for the
zero line rental offer e2save did on the Nokia 7600 last December. Just in
time for xmas and very happy with the service I have received from e2save.

Shouldn't that be £127.50?
This should have been £105 @ Month 6 and £150 @ Month 12.
e2Save have usually paid out £127.50 at the end of each of the claims.

That must have been a different offer as this was the zero line rental offer
of £0.00 per month after cashback. Not the £1.99/£2.99/£3.99/£4.99 offers
etc.
3x£15=£45
9x£30=£270
Total=£315
Divide by 2 and you get £157.50
If I remember correctly e2save did send a text at the 6month period saying
we would be getting a cheque for £127.50 but following a phone call they
admitted this was an error relating to another deal. As I was on the short
lived zero line rental offer they stated I'd get two equal payments of
£157.50 and to their word we have.
