Flashing an Nokia 6680 ...

If I were to buy an Orange branded Nokia 6680 - what are my chances of
getting the firmware updated & also flashed to a generic (not Orange
branded) one ?

I appreciate that most Nokia SCs won't do it, but is there anybody
else / any frequent posters here that can help ?

Yes it can be done; I had it done at a Nokia SC. It won't unlock the
phone, but it will remove the horrid Orange interface.
