Hi,
I've just switched from a Orange contract phone back to a Virgin PAYG. I
had an old Virgin PAYG sim which I have had my Orange number transferred
too, but when I go to Contacts, My Numbers it still shows the original
Virgin PAYG number. How do I change this to the new number, there does not
appear to be an option on the screen to allow me to do this. When I phoned
Virgin they where of no help whatsoever. Any one know how to do it or is it
impossible. The phone is a Nokia 6230, brought on an Orange contract.
Thanks
Oscar

My Nokia 6150 can do it as well. Although it doesn't seem possible to edit
Orange SIM cards, I think they are programmed to only allow this via an
OTA SIM update.

Re: Changing own number on sim card
Thanks for your help I have solved the problem, I put it into a unlocked
Nokia 5210 and that allows you to edit the number on the sim, put it back
into the 6230 and it is now displaying the correct number.

Some phones will and some phones won't..! Allow you to edit the my numbers
field that is.
