I have an o2 contract through carphone warehouse and a Nokia 6680. I don't
much care for video calling, but seeing as it was one of their selling
points when I bought the phone I think it's reasonable that it should work.
When I got the phone it came with a
3g sim, they told me that the
sim was
simply a spare and that I should continue to use my old one. I later find
after a few phone calls that they aren't even supporting video calling. They
told me it would be available sometime in November and that only customers
who had gone direct to o2 could use it at the moment. Well I phoned them
again today to find out was happening (my brother mentioned that he'd got 3
months or something where video calls came out of his normal miunutes) and
they confirmed that it was meant to be active in November but has been put
back to sometime in December. This they told me was because o2 are having a
lot of problems with the service and it isn't working for a lot of people.
Perhaps you're one of those people... I doubt I'd have grounds to get out of
my contract and take up another direct with o2, but it's starting to bug me
now. :-( Does anyone have any more info on what's going on?
