phoning home from poland

After paying the orange contract bill for my calls from Poland to home
landline I am keen to find a cheaper alternative. Is the answer a
roaming sim card after having the phone unlocked.
Any suggestions which co to get the sim card.
Also I have plans for a day or so in germany, few days in france and
hungary - if this alters the best co suggestion.

In your situation, travelling to a number of different countries, get a
United Mobile (formerly Riiing) SIM card - see www.united-mobile.com.
Phoning the UK from Poland is EUR 0.39 per minute plus EUR 0.25 call
setup fee.

You can get it one from Freedom Mobiles (www.freedom-mobiles.co.uk),
though it is still shown as 'Riiing' on their website. The SIM card
costs GBP 29.99, which includes EUR 15 of credit.

If you were staying in one country for a significant time, a local SIM
card would save you more.
