You are being antisocial if you disturb/annoy others on the bus, whether
it be on the phone or not. Bus companies have bye-laws against this sort
    of thing for a reason.

Footballs have nothing to do with it, don't cloud the issue.

So you are saying I can't raise my voice to converse with someone else on
the bus if its noisy? You are a fool. Who is your role model? Victor
meldrew? As for finding people using mobiles in shops, you baffle me. Do you
walk through your park and get annoyed my the kids running around shouting
laughing and generally being normaly noisey?

I am saying you should not do anything to annoy other people on the bus.
If raising your voice annoys other passengers, then no you should not do
it, but I have never been on a bus where I have had to shout to make
myself heard to the person sitting next to me. Nor have I ever been in any
situation that means I absolutely *have* to have a 20 minute conversation
on a phone while on a bus, either. If by some chance I ever do find that
this becomes necessary, I will endeavour to keep the conversation to an
absolute minimum and to keep my voice at such a level that others are not
    annoyed by it.

If you cannot understand or appreciate the above then it is you who are
    the fool.

What has an open area like a park got to do with a confined area such as a
bus or shop..? The two are totally different and not comparable.

So anything that annoys someone else on a bus is anti social? Bluetooth
earpieces annoy me. If they are worn on a bus should I tell them they are
    being anti social?

Of course they are comparable. Both situations have instances that could
    cause annoyance to the public.

Be sensible for a moment if you can manage it. If the person with the
earpiece is speaking into it with a loud voice then they may well be
antisocial. Merely having it on their ear is not grounds for complaint
unless my suspicions of you are true.

But not with phones, which is the point under discussion, in case you have
forgotten. If you were on the other side of a park to me you'd have to be
shouting really loudly to annoy me. Or then again perhaps you wouldn't.
