Hi all
I'm looking for a BT dongle which will work with Nokia PC suite 6.6 and my
6111, and also, less importantly) use the appropriate stack to be able to
work with skypeheadset (Widdcomm?).
I've borrowed a mate's £8-ebay-tastic at the moment, which uses a bluesoleil
driver (i think), but that driver won't work with the Nokia software...
Any suggestions?

Don't get an MSI one - I have one and it doesn't work that well

Try again. I use a Bluesoleil bluetooth dongle at work and it works fine
with Nokia PC Suite and several different Nokia handsets.

I can't get Bluesoleil to work with Nokia PC suit either despite
uninstalling.
PC suit gives the error message no device or drivers loaded when trying to
use BT to sync, so any tips to sort this problem appreciated.

Cheers I will - it gave an error something along the lines of "cannot work
with this Bluetooth <something - stack?>". So I canned it and put SP2 on my
PC and went with the MS driver.

All I did was run the "get connected" wizard from the Nokia PC suite and
followed the instructions. It just worked.

Again I have to disagree, I have an MSI dongle at home and it works just
fine.

Re: BT Dongle
I have a Belkin BT adapter, and it works with everything. It integrates
with explorer so you can just right click on items and "Send to bluetooth",
and items can be BT'd to your PC and they go in a "My Bluetooth Exchange"
folder.
I have had a cheap eBay BT adapter before, and had nothing but problems, but
the Belkin adapters work 100%, both with Windows, and Nokia Suite.
Shane.

Cheers Shane - do the Belkin adapter use the MS driver?

It installs Belkin's own drivers, which I cannot fault at all!!
I paid £15 from PC World as well, quite a reasonable price for a high
street store (ended up getting one for my mate at work too - he was
previously messing about with a very problematic BT adapter from Taiwan (or
thereabouts!) that he'd brought from an independent mobile phone shop).

That's when I get the error message.

Which Belkin model number is it?
Thanks.

Re: BT Dongle
Model number is F8T009uk which I found just now on eBuyer for £11.92 inc.
VAT.

They do another one for £16 odd with 100m range.
Shane.

Re: BT Dongle
Note that often after installation of Belkin's software with XPSP2 you end up with MS drivers
installed and limited functionality (is that a word?) but just let it happen and then update the
Bluetooth Radio driver in Device Manager back to Belkin's by choosing the unsigned drivers on the
CD - probably btwusb.inf (Belkin's website has details but I remember them as being tricky to find)
