I saw on the Gadget Show a few weeks ago, a mobile phone from Korea (I
think) aimed, specifcally, at the elderly. It had really basic functions and
big buttons. I want to purchase a phone like this for an elderly friend and
wondered if there was anything similar available in this country?

    Cheers.

No no no. The one I saw was for kids. It had 10 buttons which the parents
could preset. all you did was press the quickdial button and it rang the
number. Oh it was shaped like a teddybear.

    I totally agree with this.

I'm in O2 B2B Sales, and if someone is getting on a bit, and wants a
straightforward, easy to use handset, I tell them about this one
instead of the current best free phones like the D600, 6230i and so
    on...

No, I'm sure he doesn't want to seem like a deranged idiot by spouting
ill-informed rubbish that he knows to be a lie.

OK, it doesn't stop you, but...

    Merry Christmas.

No you don't - you push them at the Sagem VS1 or VS3 from Vodafone.
Simple phone, no camera. no mp3, limited facilites, big buttons and
big text. Come to think of it it is probably the ideal phone for most
    people over 40!
