Best way to get a laptop online with a bluetooth enabled mobile phone on O2 contract

Hi everyone,
the basic situation is as follows. I have a laptop and bluetooth dongle,
and a bluetooth mobile phone (connected to O2 through a 3G sim card (it's a
nokia 6680) on contract). What I'd like to do is to get my laptop online to
download email headers, and then the small emails that I want to read/reply
to.

What's the cheapest way to do this - anyone got any hints or suggestions (or
good websites to point me towards)? I don't know whether it'll be easier to
setup the mobile as a modem and dial-up to a normal ISP, or if there is a
better way to do it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The Nokia 6680 includes an e-mail client so that you can check your
e-mails (headers only or headers/body), but if you want to use your
laptop O2 have an excellent program called O2 connection manager
(OCM).

If your laptop is using Windows XP, download O2 connection manager at
http://webgen.o2-uktech.com/WirelessLAN/streamzip.php

For MAC, PDA's etc pick your OS at :-
http://www.o2.co.uk/productsservices...0,,144,00.html

This will configure your laptop/pda to talk to your Nokia 6680 over
bluetooth or USB data cable and with your 3G sim you should achieve up
to 384 kbps download speeds. The O2 connection manager includes a data
monitor so that you can check your data useage against your data
tariff.

Regards and Happy New Year to all.

use Nokia PC Suite to connect to the net using the phone as a modem
over GPRS.
