Can send pics from pc to phone but not other way UNLESS I right click on BT
icon on pc and select "receive a file" then I can send the photo and windows
starts the "receive a file wizard" and after that then the transfer begins
and the pc receives it. I would like to simply be able to have the phone
automatically send the pic to the pc without any input. ie send>via BT>
done.
If i try to just send from the phone then the phone does not seem to be able
to find the pc even tho its already "paired up" and under the services list
it says "No local services found" however it DOES find er indoors mobile.
Any ideas where I am going wrong here? I have enabled all the discovery
bits and paired the two up and think I have done everything Ican think of
with no joy ;-(
Thanks

Can't you do it the other way? Use the PC to download the file off the phone
rather than sending the file from the phone? I assume you'll have some sort
of file manager software that does this.

have you looked in BT's advanced configuration to check the accessibility
settings in particular the allow or let BT devices access this (the)
computer.........

computer.........
Yes, that is all setup to allow pc to see other devices and have "discovery
mode" ON too etc.
What I have now noticed is that when I instigate the "receive file wizard"
on the pc if I look on the phone then the "services" list changes from "no
local services found" to "object push" but if I close the wizard then it
reverts back to "no local services found"
Strange thing is that the PC is listed under "my devices" andseems connected
(I cn use floAts mobile agent prog via BT fine but when i try to send a file
it seraches for the pc but is unable to find it and so it says the bluetooth
connection has failed.

Yes I can plug it in and get the images that way or use floAts mobile agent
to bluetooth them (can only see the filename tho with floats) but wanted it
to work as if i was sending pic to another phone for example.

I have exactly the same problem - I think its just the way the BT stack in
Windows works now it is managed by windows itself (as opposed to the old
Widcomm driver).
Will let you know if I find any other ideas...

OK I simulated your settings and ended up with the phone unable to transfer
to the comp ie object push only in the Services check window (see below).
Sorry but basics first. You need to ensure both devices are
paired..........you have put the security code into both devices and the
codes have been accepted.
On the Desktop Go to Bluetooth Advanced configuration, Accessibility and
ensure that the phone is in the list of accepted devices or you have ALL
devices accepted. If not then add it to be sure.
On the phone go into Menu, Settings, Bluetooth, My Devices, select you
desktop, More, Allow Connection, set to either Always or Always
ask,...........now hit Services,,,,,,,it should now show file transfer in
the list.
report back.

Float uses a serial port connection, and everything runs over the top of
that.
By putting your PC into receive file mode it starts "broadcasting" the
Object Push service, as you have discovered. This is just how the
Microsoft bluetooth drivers work.
3rd party drivers behave differently, and do not require the user to
select a particular mode prior to sending an object.

YES this appears ok (except I have changed the name of the phone to a
nickname I prefer but the pc still sees a "K750i") which is odd.
also the Phone was seeing the pc as "MAINPC" but the BT software on the pc
was calling the PC "BELKIN PC" Weird eh!

Yes, this is set to allow all devices.

When in My Devices, highlight the K750i, go More and Delete....Yes.

Can you not change it to MAINPC. Is this the correct name. Check it go
Start, Control Panel, Performance and Maint, System, Computer Name.
