Orange having had to remove their only transmitter in the town I live,
and reception taking a dive as a result, I am moving to a Vodafone
contract.
I didn't really want a new phone as I am perfectly happy with my sony
Ericsson K750i. However for the usage I am going to make the contract
that worked out the best for me (according to their call centre
people) includes a free Nokia 6680.
I don't really like Nokia 6680s and made it perfectly clear I intend
to sell it on Ebay. But having been allocated it I wonder if it will
be worth it. I have never used Symbian OS before or
3G.
I was wondering what the good people here thought of
3G. Is it worth
bothering with? Is it expensive to use? What use is it? Given that
Vodafone
3G isn't available where I live, is there any point? I will
not be making video calls anyway, nor will I bother paying for that
stupid Sky on Mobile TV thing, (is there any point in that?)
and is there any point in the Symbian OS? I understand it means I can
view PDFs / DOC / XLS etc. (of practically no use to me), also that I
could run things like TomTom (also of no use to me.) Would there be
any benefits over the K750i's system?
Or should I just sell it?
Thanks!
