I joined easyMobile last year just to see what the service was like. The
service I found was not bad for someone who simply needs to make calls and
text and the account management seemed quite good as calls and text were
updated often.
I stopped using the service before xmas and noticed that easyMobile started
to charge me about 75p each month because I was not spending £5 so I decided
to shut my account before I ended up in negative balance.
At the time of shutting my account I had over £3 credit but I decided not to
give them my bank details and to loose the credit. A few days later I got an
email to say my account was in negative balance so I rang them and they
agreed that this was a mistake and they would remove it and close the
account. End of story or so I thought.
I have now received a letter from the debt collectors to say I owe £10!!! -
I have just rang them and the lad at the end of the phone said "You don't
owe us any money sir" Doh, I know that so why the hell are your debt
collectors chasing me.
He says it will be passed to management to be dealt with. I just hope it
does not affect my credit rating.

I must do that ASAP. It's a pity, because if it weren't for the 75p
fee, I'd probably use their network, and therefore not incur the 75p
fee.
But they've made a marketing decision that makes me not suitable to be
one of their customers.

Which is why I went to Tesco. Also they don't use the T-Mobile
infrastructure which is another plus point..!

Spend two quid getting a credit report from experian to check. If it
has, get it corrected -- you have the right to an accurate credit record.

I've just canceled an account with them, and they have charged me £2.57
for a Bouns Withdrawl.... Rubbish.
Balance now in minus figures. I've just got a PAC code for other
numbers and ported out, easier.
easyMobile... not so easy

This is exactly what I did as well. So 'easy' to control and maintain.
I find Tesco Mobile excellent for my needs.

The only thing I miss is the first 3 seconds free that I got on my Orange
contract, meaning I didn't get charged if I got an answering machine and
quickly hung up. Did this today without thinking and found myself 5p
down..!

I would if it weren't for the GPRS. £4 per megabyte is taking the piss
just a bit.

Ah well there's nothing I really need GPRS for. I use my phone for making
phone calls, strange, eh..?!
