    Probably a faked Caller ID - most likely offering you a free upgrade to
    3g through some dodgy telecoms company (Docklands Telecom, et al)

    True, but 6600000 doesn't look like a genuine number to me!

    So I immediately ruled out a US number as there aren't enough figures in the
    number.

    And you run a phone related website ..... jeesh !

    001-xxx-yyy-zzzz

    001 = International DC
    xxx = state code
    yyy = city code
    zzzz = phone number

    I think he a very very young person running it, surprised they are running it
    when their knowledge on things Telecom/Mobile is extremely lacking, it is
    frightening sometimes, I've noticed this on most of their posts, they are
    either still at school, or left school without any or poor grade. Nothing
    wrong in that except they should try and gain some knowledge of the industry
    they are pretending to be in (with their site).

    Either a spoofed number, acorrupt number, or a VoIP number where the provider
    sends out strange CLI for customers with no VoIP number to allow people to
    call customers with ACR.
