Hi, when calling a freephone number from T-Mobile pay as you go, i get a
message like, "calls to this number will be charged at your standard
rate, if you do not wish to continue hang up now" I do know they are
charged at 40p a min.. But i would say the 'Standard' Rate is 20p per
    min (on mates rates).

What is 'Standard Rate' In other peoples opinions?

Aside from standard contract rates the T-Mobile message was present when
T-Mobile had a decent pay as you go plan - the "Standard Plan": 30p for the
first 2 minutes a day and 5 p a minute after that. The current crop of crap
offered by T-Mobile is even more crap than I thought if it's charging 40p a
    minute for an 0800 numnber.

If you get inclusive minutes to 020 numbers, dial 02002220700 and then
dial the number. This was posted by someone on here a while back, and
    works great!

Guess how much it costs to call 0800 numbers if you are on the "Standard
    Plan".

That's right - it's 40p per minute, the same as every T-mobile PAYG plan
