Does the K750i support the 2Gb Sandisk card or is there no upper limit other
than the size of the card?

    Thanks

    Yes, it does.
Yes, there is an upper limit since you can't have un unlimited amout
of address lines on the memory address decoder.

2Gb is 2 gigabits, which works out at 256MB.

I'm sure a 256MB card will work fine

I'd rather be accused of pedantry than inaccuracy.

2GB is 2 gigabytes NOT gigbits

What you really want is a 2 GiB (gibibyte) card. 2GB cards aren't made...

    See here:

    http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/binary.html

Dunno of they work in the phone though.

    B for byte
    b for bit

Big letters, small letters, different meaning.
(Putting aside for a moment the 1000 vs 1024 debate. Memory cards are
measured in 1000s not 1024s *, so giga and mega are permitted here)

    * Just bought 3GB's worth and have read the small print and see their
    unformatted capacity too.

Yes, but he said 2Gb not 2GB.

    2Gb is 2 gigabits, 2GB is 2 gigabytes.

In spite of the apparent pedantry, the person answering the OP's question
seems to be correct as to the difference between 2Gb and 2Gb (as confirmed
by the Dictionary of Computing and Wikipedia)

Damn, must take a typing course! I (of course) meant as to the difference
    between 2Gb and 2GB! Sorry

But if you look at the site referred to earlier:

    http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/binary.html

"bit(s)" is not abbreviated, bytes are abbreviated to "B" so the
abbreviation "b" is indeterminate. I'd have thought that having
abbreviations for two different things using the same letter,
differentiated only by its case, would not be smart otherwise they could
not be used verbally without confusion.

(Not having read the Wikipedia reference) I would suggest that, in
general, writers using such ambiguous abbreviations know what they mean
and it's jolly well up to us readers to divine that meaning howsoever we
    may.
