Are you on T-Mobile? Apparently they have their own system which translates
a text to voice before it actually gets to BT.
Someone else over on uk.telecom suggested adding *3# to the front of the
message to force it to deliver as voice to the BT line (at which point Tom
Baker supposedly takes care of it).
And yes, I have been sad enough to record myself a Little Britain-style
answerphone greeting
