Got a major problem with my 6230. I changed the security code back to
the default the other day (12345). It acknowledged the change and I
forgot about it.
Today whilst swapping SIM cards it asked for it again. To my surprise it
doesn't like the code - it just keeps giving me a "code error" message
no matter which code I enter. I've tried the default, the old codes (all
of them!) but all to no avail. So I'm stuffed. The phone is over a year
old so I know a a service centre will charge for the repair.
Has anyone got any advice please? Help!

My friend's 6619i on Orange done this; so it would only work with her
SIM-card. I tgried mine, "enter phone code". I entered the 5 digit code she
thought it would be, or 12345 - neither worked.
Yet in the phone manager, which i connected to with infrared (a working SIM
required; in this case the phone was 'locked' to with the security code...)
and found out it was in fact 12345, but it wouldn't accept it.
After much faggoting about, it worked randomly, but i had to keep switching
the phone off and on, and resetting the security code and changing it on her
phone.
Not much use in your case, as your phone wont accept any SIM card at the
moment, is that right? Nokia may be able to give you a 'reset' code to use,
but you may be out of luck.
