Text messaging via TAP protocol (Orange?)

Hi

We are trying to find a provider to allow us to send SMS text messages
via our MOM systems management system via a modem. We have the
software - we just need a TAP compliant provider!

We have found one but the costs are very high indeed.

In the old days, I'm sure all providers gave a mobile number which you
could just call - and just may the mobile charges to make the call.
Googling shows lots of published numbers from a few years ago but none
now seem to work.

Orange (and Orange business) don't have a clue what TAP is - they have
never heard of it.....

Ideas and providers most welcome!

Take a look at www.esendex.net -- we use them with some of our internal
systems for alerting people via SMS. They have various interfaces
available, incl. email, HTTP POST and various SDKs. I don't know if
they offer TAP but they are a very knowledgeable bunch so may be worth
a call.

(I've not relationship with esendex other than being a happy customer
of theirs).

I've not used them in the last 6 months, but one of these worked 7 months
ago (can't remember which)
