Sending large files to 6230i

Is it possible to have files sent to a Nokia 6230i via infrared saved
directly to the Multi Media Card?

I want to send some large (40mb) mp3 files, the card is big enough
(256mb) but as the file is received in the phone memory I run out of
space at around 20mb.

I know the answer is to get a USB cable, but I was hoping I could do it
for free.

Steve

PS - I could set up a Bluetooth connection, would I have the same
problem?

A card reader which can take MMCs might be a cheaper and easier option.
Think virtually all of them can, and you can pick them up starting at
around a fiver. Also useful for getting pics off digital cameras without
wasting the batteries.

Good idea, that would work, handy for other stuff too as you point out.

The answer to sending the big files via infrared is to use Nokia PC
Suite, it does the job. Slow though...

Use the Nokia PC Suite, this allows you to write directly to the card.
Infrared or bluetooth, but bluetooth will be much faster.
