GPRS Info Written as (for example) 4+1 or 4+2, the first number
indicates the amount of downlink timeslots (what the mobile phone is
able to receive from the network).
The second number indicates the amount of uplink timeslots (how many
timeslots the mobile phone is able to transmit).

So basically speaking then, a 4+2 phone would have better data transfers
using GPRS than a phone with 4+1?

Would the difference between 4+1 and 4+2 show a major increase in speed
perfomance when accessing pages on the internet using GPRS?

Thanks

Your uploads to the network would be twice as fast with 4+2 vs 4+1;
however, for mobile browsing you're unlikely to notice much of a
difference since 95+% of what you would do would be to receive and not
send data.

No, because loading pages is only downlink, uplink is when your device
is sending information to the internet.

Not true, some of the upload capacity is used for checksumming/integrity.

Yes but not enough to make any perceivable difference.
