I had the firmware on my N70 upgraded to V3.... because I'd had Bluetooth
problems. The Nokia shop put the generic software on because Orange haven't
released an updated version of the new firmware and Orange software yet.
Anyhow I can't get Orange TV to work now. I've tried downloading it from
Orange world but at the end of the installation it says 'unable to verify
certificate'. I have re-installed pvplayer thinking that was the problem but
it still won't install.
Anyone got any ideas why it won't work. Is it because some sort of
validation software that comes pre-installed on the phone has been deleted
when they upgraded the firmware?
TIA.

by the sounds of it Orange digitally sign / encrypt it to make sure that
only Orange users can use it, part of their firmware contains a certificate
to decrypt the video. I'd guess that as you've flashed the phone, it no
longer has this certificate on it.
Only thing I can think of is to take it to an Orange shop and ahve them
re-flash it. Unsure if you can load certificates on it individually, thoguh
you could always ask and see if they'll do it.

Orange stores don't have the facility to re-flash phones - you'd be best
taking it back to wherever flashed it with the generic firmware in the first
place.
