I've just returned from a trip to the Philippines where I bought a
brand new unlocked N90. Worked perfectly with SMART (Philippines) and
AIS (Thailand). Now that I'm back in the UK I find that I cannot send
MMS or connect to the web with my Vodafone PAYG sim. When I look in
connections Vodafone Live, Internet, WAP and MMS are all present but
if I try to connect or send an MMS I get the message "Packet data
connection not available". I've tried both dual mode and GSM mode and
it makes no odds.
Called Vodafone and after being put on hold for 10 mins they hung up
on me......
Any ideas as to what I need to do to get things working properly?
Changing to another provider is what springs to my mind atm ;(
TIA
John

Thanks for the response. I've tried using the settings sent to me and
its made no difference. After a bit of tinkering around I can now
access the web, but not Vodafone Live portal. I did this by changing
the default access point from wap.vodafone.co.uk (the setting sent to
me) to pp.vodafone.co.uk. Yes, as I've got a PAYG sim I did make sure
to request the pre-pay settings )
However, still cannot send MMS and when I try to up-date F-Prot
Anti-Virus it tells me that I need to define an internet access point.
Any further help will be most welcome.
Thanks
John
