Best deal on MDA Pro/M5000/O2 Exec

hi all,

presently have a spv m2000 but 3 months on contract left. I am planning to
buy out the contract at £40 because I want to upgrade to a M5000 or
equivalent.

am willing to switch networks as Orange are trying to charge me £250 for the
upgrade even though I've been with them 5 years.

can anyone recommend the best deal? looking at ~£30/month contract

I heard t-mobile or somebody were offering unlimited web access for £7 a
month - this is very interesting (if it includes 3G web access).

any help gratefully appreciated!

thanks

And presumably had 5 years of inclusive calls and probably close to
£1000 in handset subsidy. And the M5000 you are trying to purchase is a
£500 bit of kit, so paying £249 for one is not bad at all really.

This is a good offer, and according to another poster does include 3G
access.

See the other thread for this where I've indicated what I've been told
about it.

Apparently...

If you want to use it for "modem" access (e.g. a laptop) then you need
the "Pro" version for £8.50 a month not including VAT. If you can live
with the restrictions of the consumer version (no VOIP, no modem access,
no p2p) then that's £7.50 including VAT.

Also some tariffs will appear which combine that bundle with the main
tariff so you'd probably get a better deal on those because the monthly
line rental is higher. Those will appear at the start of April. So it
might be best to wait a few days to see what appears.

Steve.

Length of time as a customer is not important..

...And that's why.

If they sell expensive handsets for next to nowt to customers that spend
£30/m, where does that leave those of us that spend way more than that?

Hi John,

I found it to be far from slow (like my m2000!)
Do you have any other recommendations? Basically I need a usable web browser
& Email, runnable at 3G speeds for working on the road.

I've been spending between £50 and £70 on average.
The handset probably costs Orange £150 at most. If they want to lose a
customer who gives them at least £700 cash a year, then thats up to them as
far as I am concerned.

Thanks - excellent.

£8.50 is a steal for near broadband speeds on the move. Is the coverage good
do you know?

If that were true it would make it less expensive than a Nokia 6230i.

Well I would suggest the opposite. It is extremely important.
