Well if you can get a signal T-mobile currently blows away all other
providers for data. The only thing to come close is the Orange PAYG
unlimited
GPRS for £1 a day but that specifically excludes
3G.
The consumer T-mobile offering is mentioned on the website. It has a
fair number of restrictions including a ban on use of the phone as a
modem though no one is sure if they can tell. It is included in several
tariffs some of which include 25% off for life.
The pro version has almost no restrictions other than a 2GB fair use
policy and a ban on VOIP. It will be £8.50 per month plus VAT. The
consumer version has a
3G upload speed of 64kbps the pro version is
advertised at 6X faster.
It will apparently also support HSPDA at 1.6mbps download when it is
available.
There is mention of the pro version on scancom site who are doing a
3G
laptop card on contract.
I've personally gone for
SIM only with T-mobile which I can easily
cancel if the right contract deal comes along.
Steve.
